The birth certificate of Alfred is difficult to read, but I thought her name read Mary. I guess not. She remarried Isaac Martin Bradshaw after Benjamin died.

http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/wal/GLA/Swansea/slaters-swansea.html#brick gives a transcription from the Slaters Commercial Directory, 1858-1859, which lists a Benjamin Sneyd (in Morriston), who was listed as a brick and tile maker. This is very likely to be our Benjamin, although I have no proof of that. But everything matches.

I’m pretty sure I’ve found his marriage certificate at www.freebmd.org.uk. Says he married Margaret Ellen Jones in September, 1863, in Swansea. Vol. 11a, page 651.
