He was buried in Ta’Braxia cemetery, Malta, and the record of his burial is:
Herbert Reginald Curteis GRAHAM, aged 22 years 7 months, born 19th January 1858, in Sussex, the son of R.J. and E.L. Graham, of The Elms, Eastbourne, Sussex. 2nd Lieutenant, 2nd Battalion, 10th Regiment, died 27th August 1880
