And this is the Anne with whom I have so many enjoyable email conversations, and who has provided so much information.
Anne writes:
“My mother was Ethel Kathleen Tregenza, they met in Mhow in India while my father was stationed there. My mother was a QA nursing sister. I was born in Salisbury, Wilts. in 1933. My brother, John Robert Beresford arrived in 1935. After their long leave they were back in India, and were planning for my mother to come back home “ for the children’s education” as was the custom. Hitler put paid to that, because of the war. We eventually came home in a troop ship on one of the last convoys of the war, spending Christmas 1944 on the ship.”
