Notes for Garsinde Taillefer
[C-D, XIV, 809] [17].
[ES, III, 805] [44] calls her Garsinde de Barcelona, mother of Rixinde. I’m not certain that these two Garsindes are the same, but I’ll assume they are until I can check in [ES, III, 341]. It seems very likely. After all, how many Bérengers, Count of Barcelona, husband of Garsinde, were there at that time?
Notes for Bérenger (Spouse 1)
[ES, III, 805] [44] gives his wife as Garsinde de Barcelona, which differs from the Garsinde Taillefer given by [CD], but it seems very likely it’s the same Bérenger, Vicomte de Narbonne. I need to check in [ES, III, 341] but haven’t done so yet.

[C-D, XIV, 808] [17]. He was named, with his mother, his wife, and Raymond, his son, in an act of 1032. He fought with Guifred de Cerdagne, Archbishop of Narbonne, and complained to the Pope’s legate, at the Council of Toulouse, in 1046. On 4 February 1066, he and his wife purchased, from Raymond-Bérenger, Count of Barcelona, a fief called Oser, and the Castle of Solterre, for the sum of 180 gold écus of Barcelona, called Manausses [?]. We have records of many of the homages he made, but they have no date. In 1049, he, his wife, and his children, gave to the Monastery of Saint-Michel du Mont-de-la-Cluse, in Italy, the lands of Montblaurez, in Ligurie, that they had obtained by an exchange between Raymond, Count of Toulouse, and Matfred his grandfather. They also gave, the preceding year, to the Canons of Narbonne, all the tithes of fel [?] and fishing in the Vicountship of Narbonne.
