Their marriage certificaate says the marriage occurred at the Office of the Registrar of Marriages. One suspects it wasn’t an elaborate social occasion.

She was still living when her husband died, and was then 73, according to William’s death certificate. This doesn’t agree with her daughter’s birth certificate.
