Ian Melville has a letter, dated 20 Feb 1925, from Jim Melville to Sydney Norgrove. He signs himself as Sidney. His birth notice appears in the Nelson Examiner and New Zealand Chronicle, Volume XIX, Issue 19, 7 March 1860, Page 2. “BIRTH. On the 4th instant, the wife of W. Norgrove, of a son.” Not all that helpful, really.

Nellie was the third daughter.795

The Marlborough Express in 1896 announces “On 5th May, at Scott Street, Blenheim; the wife of Sidney Norgrove of a daughter.” Again, not very helpful.
