77. http://www.myjacobfamily.com/favershamjacobs/edwardjacob2.html (and other related Jacob pages on that site). The work of Kenneth Jacob, whom I don’t know from Adam, but he appears to be a keen medieval genealogist, and sensible withal. Not such a common combination.

This is an excellent site, quoting a lot of monumental inscriptions, parish records, and original documents, to put together a nice history of the Jacob family of Canterbury and Faversham (as well as a large number of other articles about other Jacob families). I trust the information here, which agrees in all particulars with other information I’ve been able to collect (about the Barrett’s, for instance).

However, it often has typos (for instance, when the marriage date is the same for the second wife as for the first), and so one has to be a little wary about trusting it absolutely.
