The lady in the middle of the middle row, with a white collar (Mrs Forbes), told my mother that she was going to grow up into a bad woman. She was right. Mum went home and told her parents, who were furious.
Back row, far left, is Jim Allport, Beverly Hugget's father. Beverly was Mum's best friend for many many years. 3 days older than Mum, and lived opposite for 8 years.
